About
Me
I graduated in May, 2007 from West Virginia University with a Bachelor of
Arts degree in Religious Studies. I also have a bachelor's degree from Marshall
University in Spanish and French, but I have since decided that religion is my
true passion. I graduated from Marshall with a 3.5 GPA. I got a 4.0 GPA in all
courses which I took from WVU.
I have loved
the study of cultures and religions for as long as I can remember. Even though
I am out of college now, I still research religious subjects. I feel that by
studying other religions, we can expand our knowledge of our own. "What do they
know of England who only England know?" By studying the different ways that
other people see the world, we can come to realize that our perspective is not
the only way to see the world. By viewing the world from various perspectives,
we can gain a greater knowledge of the world we live in, and of our very selves.
Why limit yourself to the wisdom of one people, when wisdom abounds in all the
world?
I am not very well (I have bipolar disorder, and suffer from
long periods of severe depression), but when I can, I add new information to the
site based on my research. My long-term vision for this website is that it
become a "gateway to all things religious." I want to add links to other
websites which are good resources in all aspects of each religion. I would like
to give good introductions to each religion, the history of them, and other
essays of interest about them.
If you would like to make a donation, I
would greatly appreciate it! Unless you specify otherwise, the donation will go
towards website upkeep and resources to further my research. You may also
choose to specify how you would like the money to be spent. To make a donation,
go to my home page and click on the "Make a Donation" button. Thank
you!
