My Reading Recommendations for the Study of Zoroastrianism

The Zoroastrian Faith:  Tradition & Modern Research, by S.A. Nigosian.  McGill-Queen's University Press, 1993.
This was the book we used in a college course that covered Zoroastrianism and other Near Eastern religions.  The professor that taught the course, Dr. Daniel Borsay, always has a knack for choosing excellent reading material.  It's a good introduction, and not too long.  Click here to buy from Amazon.  (They allow you to look inside on this one).

Cosmos, Chaos & the World to Come:  The Ancient Roots of Apocalyptic Faith, by Norman Cohn.  Yale University Press, 1995 (reprinted in 1999), 2nd Edition.
A captivating account of the development of Apocalypticism, which Cohn believes has its roots firmly in Zoroastrianism.  I really loved this book.  Click here to buy from Amazon (They allow you to look inside on this one).
